PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP)
Only the Best
Stem cell-activating Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy uses injections of a concentration of a patient's own platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. In this way, PRP injections use each individual patient's own healing system to improve musculoskeletal problems. PRP ultrasound-guided injections are prepared by taking your own blood and running it through a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. These activated platelets are then injected directly into injured or damaged body tissue to cause stem cells and your immune system to release growth factors that stimulate and increase the number of repair cells your own body produces naturally, without surgery. Main indications for PRP are torn/injured ligaments, tendons and cartilage, but can also be used in the treatment of scars, fine wrinkles, hair loss (or re-growth), and skin rejuvenation.
