Dr. DOROTHY MIRANDA, EdD
Director of Operations
Dorothy graduated from George Fox University with a Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Literature. She spent eight years at her alma mater as an undergraduate admissions counselor specializing in work with transfer students and multicultural outreach. As a member of the Act Six Scholarship selection committee, Dorothy recruited and identified urban leaders for Oregon’s only full tuition full need community leadership award. More recently, Dorothy worked with admissions directors throughout the nation to support their college application process including the launch of the Coalition for Student Access and Success application platform. She received her Executive Master’s in Public Administration through the University of Washington’s Evans School.
Dorothy is passionate about using concrete data driven methods to achieve long term educational equity. As a higher education professional, her greatest passion is found in helping students push past obstacles to take practical steps towards accomplishing their goals and dreams for life.
Dorothy and her husband Dr. Francisco live in Happy Valley, Oregon where they enjoy serving in their local church and encouraging young people on their educational journey. She enjoys traveling, hosting friends and family, and the Happy Valley Station Food Carts.
